As of February 18
After a bit more clay, I decided to rest for a bit so I could get on with all my real work - like housework and bookkeeping - I normally would be doing. In this shot, it shows the curve rather well, but the tilt is not as obvious. I've tried to make put it in a realistic posture. What I've learned is how much I have to learn about clay types and underlying forms. I need a good book for these things, but I have little doubt that I am capable of the sculpture aspect. I once make a human head out of Fimo clay about 1 inch tall and wow'd my art history sister. She didn't know I had it in me - neither did I.

That is going to be a lovely salmon! I'm not surprised that you're talented at yet another creative endeavor.
I am actually caught up with your blog now!
I am pondering going on another cruise before the end of this year and suddenly I would have a use for something I've never needed before--a laptop! I could chronicle my adventures--or misadventures, as the case might be--right on the ship. I need to be lots more computer savvy so I would be able to both write as I normally do (wordy, wordy and verbosely) and post all of it so all three of you folks reading and contributing to Thirty Years Later can see my elation about almost everything on board these gorgeous cruise vessels. We'll see if I do end up going and if I can actually purchase a laptop with the applications I need included without driving my paltry budget into nonexistence....
I just more than proved my verbosity. Oops.... :-)
Love,
Lorri
